Rubén studied at Antonio de Nebrija University (Madrid), where he received two Master Degrees: 'Teaching Spanish as a Second Language' and 'Bilingual Education'. He also received a B.A. in English Language and Literature and a B.A in Teacher Training from University of Vigo (Galicia). Rubén has been a teacher of Spanish / English as a Foreign Language for 13 years, working as a translator for different companies and universities such as Antonio de Nebrija, San Pablo CEU, CEA Global Campus Madrid (UNH - University of New Haven), Universidad Atlántica (Portugal), Università Telematica Pegaso (Naples) and Carlos III (Madrid). He has taught several courses in grammar, history studies, and arts not only to students from all over Europe and the U.S but also to Spaniards. Being so closely involved in the Spanish university system, Rubén has participated in several congresses and has published a number of articles related to the teaching of Foreign Languages and the ICT Tools implementation in the educational field. His working experience covers a wide range of academic and educational fields. Apart from having translated official documents and websites for different companies, currently being DELE and LETRA examiner, Rubén has been collaborating with different European academic projects such as the E-times Project developing new contents as well as assessing the results of the courses (in Madrid, London, Vienna, Sofia and Athens) for 2 years. He has also collaborated validating a set of descriptors of language proficiency to complement those already available in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) working along with the Language Policy Unit (Council of Europe). He has been a member of the Board of Civil Service Examiners (Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness) in 2017. He is currently teaching the MOOC “Comunicación Cultural” along with Global Campus Nebrija and Telefónica Elearning.

Graduated in Spanish Language and Literature by the University Autónoma of Madrid (1977). From 1978 to 1990 she worked as teacher in Enriqueta Aymer a private school. Afterwards, she gained a MA in Linguistics Applied to the Teaching of Spanish as a Second Language at Nebrija University. In addition, she is an official examiner of the Instituto Cervantes. Since 1995, she has taught Spanish, Theatre, Medieval Literature and as well as preparing for the Official Certificates of Spanish (DELE) at the Centre for Hispanic Studies (Nebrija University). From 1996 up to date, she has been teaching, Creation of Didactic Units, in the MA in Linguistics Applied to the Teaching of Spanish as a Second Language at the Complutense University (Madrid). She has taught others courses such as El Plan Curricular: una aplicación didáctic, and El léxico en los exámenes del DELE. Besides, she has worked at Ménendez Pelayo University (Santander). She is co-author of five books about teaching and preparation for DELE Certificates (Anaya and Edelsa editorials).

Paula Barbado gained her MA in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the Antonio de Nebrija University. She is a graduate in Tourism Studies from Rey Juan Carlos University and also has a BA in Translation and Interpreting Studies (Cluny I.S.E.I.T.). She followed the course Training for Teachers of Spanish as a Second Language from International House. She participated in the book El Mundo en español (Habla con Eñe). She has wide experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language both in Spain and abroad. She is also an official examiner of the DELE exams) of the Instituto Cervantes and a member of the examining board for said tests at Universidad Nebrija.

Dr. Barrios Sabador gained her BA from Universidad Complutense and her MA and PhD in Applied Linguistics (Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language) from Universidad Nebrija, where she has worked since 1996. In her doctoral thesis she focused on probability markers and studied them from a native and non-native approach. At Universidad Nebrija she is a Spanish language instructor at the Centro de Estudios Hispánicos (CEHI), where she teaches foreign students, and she is also a lecturer in Spanish Language and Communication for the Modern Languages and Translation BA. She is a well-known teacher trainer in the field of Pedagogical Grammar and shares her expertise with prospective Spanish teachers in the MA of Applied Linguistics at the same institution, where she leads a course on Pedagogical Grammar and has also been collaborating for the students’ classroom observation and practice teaching program. She has tutored Master’s degree dissertations and has has been a member of examining board for a Master’s thesis, as well as Doctoral dissertations. She has conducted workshops, seminars and teacher training courses at Universidad Nebrija, and has presented papers at several congresses and conferences on the teaching of Spanish to speakers of other languages and also on Theoretical Grammar. She has published extensively in journals related to Spanish language teaching and Applied Linguistics, and has co-authored two books in Applied Linguistics, as well as several books for the preparation of the Instituto Cervantes’ language proficiency certificates such as the Preparación al DELE superior C2 and Preparación al DELE intermedio B2, both of them published by Edelsa. She is now in the drafting process of a new book for B1, by the same publisher.

Paz Bartolomé is a graduate in Hispanic Philology (Linguistics) by the Universidad Complutense. Master in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the Universidad Antonio de Nebrija (1996) and by UNIR (2017). Expert in Digital Content Edition. Official Examiners Diplomas in Spanish (DELE) Cervantes Institute and member of the boards of examiners. It was tutor of the course Programming Open Classroom Teaching in Nebrija University and currently teaches the subject of Language Didactics in the master online of the faculty of Education of that university, is part of master memory courts and directs some of these. Working since 1997 in the Center for Hispanic Studies at the same university, teaching the following subjects: Cinema and Society, Studies in Language, Culture and Grammar She is the author / coauthor of several materials related to the teaching of Spanish, both paper and digital: Morning and Bilingual Glossary of publisher Anaya, Manual DELE Preparation, DELE DELE C2 and B2, publisher Edelsa, Course Part- C1 time at the University Ca 'Foscari of Venice and various journal articles. Ana Blanco gained her BA from the University of León (Spain) and her MA in Applied Linguistics in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from Nebrija University. She started her professional career in The Netherlands working as an assistant teacher at the Alberdingk Thijm Hilversum School and afterwards in the Haagse Hogeschool (The Hague). Since 1998 she has been teaching Spanish as a SL in Nebrija University where she also gives lectures in Modern Languages within the dpte. of Applied Linguistics. She is an official examiner of the DELE Certificates of Spanish from the Instituto Cervantes. She is co-author of the textbook Mañana (Anaya Editions). From 2003-2004 she taught at the dpt. of Spanish in Johns Hopkins University (ML, USA).

Alicia de la Peña holds a BA in English Philology from Autónoma de Madrid University, and gained both her MA in the Teaching of Spanish as a Second Language and her MA in Applied Linguistics from Antonio de Nebrija University. At Antonio de Nebrija, where she started working in 1998, she has been an English as a foreign language instructor and a Spanish language and culture instructor (both in Spanish and English) at Centro de Estudios Hispánicos (CEHI), where she is usually in charge of the “Gender Studies” and “Spanish for Business” classes. In addition to that, she has been a lecturer and on-line tutor in “Teaching Techniques and Abilities” and “Communicative Approaches” in the MA in the Teaching of Spanish as a Second Language and in the MA in Bilingual Education since 2001. She has been a member of the examining board of Instituto Cervantes DELE proficiency examinations in several occasions, and of Comunidad de Madrid LETRA examination for immigrants, both at Universidad Antonio de Nebrija. She has presented several papers at congresses and conferences and has published a number of articles on the teaching and learning of foreign languages. In 2007, she was one of the finalists of II Cristobal de Villalón Award to Educative Innovation in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. From 2008 to 2011, she combined her teaching career with the position of Academic Dean for the University of New Haven in Madrid, where she was responsible for a team of ten instructors. At present, she’s working on her PhD dissertation on coevaluation of writing in the university, which she has complemented with a research stay at Liberty University and Lynchburg College (Virginia, US).

Adrian Gomez gained his BA in Hispanic Language Studies from Seville University and his MA in Applied Linguistics in Teaching of Spanish as a Second Language from Nebrija University. He completed courses from the Instituto Cervantes on Digital Competences for teaching Spanish and took part in seminars and conferences on Teaching Spanish as a SL. He worked as an examiner in the LETRA official certificate of the Government of Madrid and besides, he was a Conference Speaker in the fields of Pragmatics and Conversation regarding Chinese speakers. In addition, he worked as a teacher of Spanish in Trinity College (Dublin, Ireland). He has worked as a teacher at the Centro de Estudios Hispánicos and currently works as Academic Coordinator.

Ana Heredero studied a BA in Translation (Spanish, English and German) at Nebrija University and Salford University as well as a MA in Applied Linguistics to the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language at Nebrija. Besides, she studied a MA in English at Saint Louis University. She has official certificates in audiovisual translation (University College London), German (Goethe-Zertifikat C1, TestDaF) and English (TOEFL). She has worked as an audiovisual translator in Alternativa de Medios SL in Madrid and as a translator and assistant in EF München in Germany. She has taught the courses of “The Process of Composition”, “English as a Second Language”, “Contemporary Issues” and “ESL for Administrative Staff” at Saint Louis University. She has also worked at the University Writing Services of this institution as a Writing Consultant. At Nebrija she has been a didactic materials designer, Spanish teacher, activities coordination assistant, assistant to the director of University of Florida's group, academic coordination assistant, and guide for activities, visits and trips. Finally, she has been a Spanish teacher and promoter of the Spanish culture and Nebrija University at JESIE-Nebrija institute in Nanjing (China). In her free time, she travels to Zway (Ethiopia) and teaches English to children, teenagers and teachers, and does volunteer work with the Salesian Sisters.

Dr. Hernández Alcaide gained both her BA and PhD from the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) and her MA in Applied Linguistics (Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language) from Nebrija University, where she has worked since 1989. In her doctoral thesis she focused on conditional markers and proposed a didactic sequence for their teaching. At Nebrija University she is a Spanish language instructor at the Centro de Estudios Hispánicos (CEHI), where she teaches foreign students, and also a lecturer in Spanish Language and Communication in the BA in Modern Languages and the BA in Translation. In addition, she is a well-known teacher trainer in the field of Pedagogical Grammar and shares her expertise with prospective Spanish teachers in the MA in Applied Linguistics at the same institution, where she leads a course on Pedagogical Grammar and has also been responsible for the students’ classroom observation and practice teaching programme. She has conducted workshops, seminars and teacher training courses at a wide range of educational institutions in Spain and beyond, and has presented papers at several congresses and conferences on the teaching of Spanish to speakers of other languages. Esther Jiménez has a BA in Italian Philology by the Universidad Complutense, Madrid, and a Master’s Degree in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language by the Università per Stranieri di Siena. Master´s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language by the Universidad Nebrija. She lived in Italy for a while where she began her career teaching at colleges and universities. Since 2003, she teaches Spanish as a Second Language at Universidad Nebrija. She has also been a tutor for the course Didactic Syllabi for Aula Abierta and supervises final master projects Official Master for Applied Languages in the same university. She is an official examiner and member of the examining board of the DELE exams of the Instituto Cervantes at Universidad Nebrija. She is author and coauthor of several materials related to the teaching of Spanish for various universities. She has also published several articles in addition to her own memoir: "Affective factors in course syllabi: motivation". She has recently co-authored the book "Intercultural Communication Development of skills in formal and non-formal education".

Juan Lázaro Betancor gained his BA in Spanish Language from the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) and his MA in Spanish as a Second Language from the Nebrija University (Spain), whose final paper was about writing assessment. First, he started his professional career in Publishing as an editor and proofreader. Since 2007, he has worked as a teacher of Spanish Culture and Language at the Nebrija University. He is an official examiner of the DELE Certificates of Spanish Language of the Cervantes Institute. He has given talks on culture and interculturality in different universities of Europe and United States. Furthermore, he continues working as a writer of literary articles, books and translation from Portuguese into Spanish.

Dr Lipscomb has a Ph.D. in French and a Masters in European Literature from the University of Oxford and a B.A. in French and Italian from the University of Kent. She has been a Lecturer of French at Oxford University between 1996 and 2002, and a Lecturer of French at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (2003-2004). At the University of Nebrija (Centro de Estudios Hispánicos) she has been teaching European Literature, European Cinema and Spanish Literature since 2003. In addition, she is an external reviewer and member of the Coordination Team of Amaltea – Myth Criticism Journal since 2011 and is part of the Research Group “ACIS. Myth Criticism Research Group” and the Research Project I+D “New forms of myth: an interdisciplinary methodology” of the University Complutense of Madrid. Her academic work focuses on European Literature, European Cinema and Myth Criticism and she speaks fluent English, Spanish, French and Italian.

Graduate in Philology (Hispanic Literature) by the Universidad Complutense, Madrid. I started my career in 1981 as a foreign language teacher in different language centers. I have been a collaborator in the development of Spanish teaching methods and the design of materials for the preparation of DELE exams. I have also worked as an integration technician at the Youth Council in the Department of Education of the City of Madrid, organizing and managing cultural programs. Since 2006 I have been working at Universidad Nebrija as an associate professor of Spanish Language and Culture for the Center for Hispanic Studies. I teach courses of Contemporary Spanish Novel and Art in the Prado Museum (for level B1). I am also an official examiner of the DELE exams (levels A1-A2, C1 and C2) of the Instituto Cervantes and a member of the examining board for said tests at Universidad Nebrija.

Mª Luisa has a BA in Geography and History from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and is currently doing her PhD in Contemporary History of Spain. She began her career in 1981 and has worked with various schools since, as a teacher of Art and History in college prep and high school courses. Since 1989 she has worked at Universidad Nebrija teaching courses of Art in the Prado Museum, Art and Spanish Civilization and Contemporary Spain. She has lectured in several universities in Europe through the Erasmus program and has been a Professor at Furman University, SC, USA.

Cristina received a B.A. in Translation and Interpreting at Complutense Madrid University. She did her MA in Applied Linguistics to the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language at Nebrija University and then she realized her internship in China, at Jiangsu Province for International Education, a teaching center from the Chinese government. There, she carried out several tasks such as teaching Spanish, promoting the Spanish culture and language in different universities and institutions or creating different activities in order to enhance the Spanish culture. In 2016, she started working in Centro de Estudios Hispánicos at Nebrija University as Spanish teacher as well as assistant coordinator.

Teresa Vázquez gained her BA in English Language Studies from Complutense University and her MA in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at the same University. In addition, she taught classes at Trent University (Canada) for three years and she collaborated with the Center for Spanish Resources at York University (Toronto). She worked with the Ministry of Social Affairs in Canada and also at Pearson Education creating materials for the teaching Spanish. Moreover, she has worked as a Spanish and English teacher in different institutions and public and private universities, for instance, UCM, International Andalucía University, San Pablo CEU University and the NATO ́s Southwest Headquarters She teaches Spanish as a Second Language for Specific Purposes in the field of social communication. She is an Expert in Spanish folklore by Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid). Besides, she is coordinator of Department of Cultural Activities at the Center for Hispanic Studies (Nebrija University) where she also teaches Spanish.

Daniel Villar obtained his Bachelor degree in Philosophy and Art, in the fields of History and Art History by the Universidad de Zaragoza. He has a Master in Linguistics, applied to Spanish as a Foreign Language, by Universidad Nebrija, where he currently works at the Hispanic Studies Centre. He teaches Spanish Language and Culture and participates in divulging the Spanish cultural heritage organized by the above mentioned centre. Professionally, he has collaborated with Universidad de Zaragoza and the Government of Aragón in spreading the cultural heritage of Aragón. He has worked as a high school teacher in public schools, and has also worked with several companies as an expert in sociological and public opinion studies. In the research field, he has studied the oral interaction among Chinese students of Spanish as a Foreign Language. His current research is focused on the analysis of academic written texts produced by American students who speak Spanish as their language of cultural heritage.
