Weather

In Madrid winter it is not very cold

With minimum temperatures about 2 ° C (35, 6º F) and maximum 10 ° C (50 ° F). Spring and autumn are very pleasant, with a minimum temperature of 7.5 ° C (45, 5º F) and a maximum of 20,5º C (68, 9º F). Summer in Madrid is normally hot, reaching 40 ° C (104 ° F) maximum.


Timetable

It is common to go to bed at 11:00 PM / 12:00 PM

Or even later. This does not prevent you should get up early: 7:00 AM/ 8: 00 AM.

The shops normally close from 2:00 until 5:00. Banks are open in the mornings and some open one afternoon a week. Shopping malls are open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.


Diet

The Mediterranean diet is rich and varied

Includes all kinds of meat, poultry, fish and vegetables. As condiments olive oil, vinegar and garlic are used. It is usual to serve bread with meals.

The main meal or lunch is between 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM. It is very common to take fruit for dessert. It is unusual take sweets except on special occasions. About 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM is a snack, a small snack (sweet or savory) that satiates hunger until dinner.

Dinner is usually light and fast. The dinner time is between 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM.
